Requirements and Admission
At the moment all education at Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts (SADA) is mediated in Swedish. This may however change in the future and we may be able to welcome more international students.
General admission requirements for BA Programmes
- High Swedish language competence, written and spoken.
- Complete secondary school education.
- General working experience.
- Documented experience of creative work within the chosen field.
The admission process
The admission procedure consists of a written application, interviews and entrance tests. It is conducted over a long period of time. Personal presence at the cost of the applicant is required during part of the process. There are many applicants, but only a limited number of students are finally admitted. SADA has no possibility of helping applicants who do not fulfill our qualifications.
Please note that SADA has no special programmes for foreign students and do not offer any language courses alongside the dramatic art studies. All students have to apply on regular basis.
The education at SADA is free of charge for citizens within The European Union, The European Economic Area and Switzerland. Citizens of other countries have to pay an application fee of SEK 900. Furthermore they have to pay the full cost of the education - if admitted.
SADA is too small an organization to be able to offer any help to foreign students with questions on accomodation, scholarships or courses in the Swedish language. For further information on higher education and studies in Sweden, scholarships and practical issues please turn to the organizations listed to the right on this page.
